Guest guest
My PCP sent me to a surgeon do get a second opinion just in case the insurance asked for one. I brought the patient manual and some info from Dr. R's website to the surgeon and he was very impressed. He wrote a letter in support of the MGB, which made me feel a lot better about it. Guest guest
Has anyone been required to get a second opinion for the insurance company and if so did you go to a surgeon or another family physician
Guest guest
I felt the same way about that, and Rick. Where are all these doctors who protest Dr. R's technique. ????? Trudy Re: Second Opinion By any chance did you discuss the controversy with him. Since he is willing for you to have the MGB I guess here is Dr. that does not see the problems other " say " they see. Guest guest
Hi He said there are risks to all forms of WLS, and you have to weigh the risks to the benefits. He did NOT think it was a unacceptable risk in my case! He thought it was a MUCH MUCH greater risk for me to continue to have the co morbidity's that I have, he said In his opinion if I did not do something to lose at least 100# I would probable be dead in 5 years or less! With love and peace Rick > > Hi everyone > > > > Just thoutht you might be interested to know that I went to Dr. > > Hocking at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.
