Guest guest Posted August 4, 2002 Report Share Posted August 4, 2002 Squeek, I think you summed things up pretty well. When I am feeling well I think - that's it! I have got it licked! Then I start getting twinges - I can't even say flares, since I have been diagnosed and been on regular medication, I have never had a really bad one, however my body thinks about it! Then I immediately feel negative, down etc. Actually I do find that walking does help with mild depression and pain. Right now I haven't done anything for a few days because of this stupid muscle but our talks over the last few days may inspire me to make an effort. I also agree with Marilyn and I do think this group is SO helpful. I don't want to bother people close to me all the time - but we all understand what is involved, and know that there are others going through the same stuff. I have gone back up to five mg of pred. My doc said lots of people need a low maintenance dose and not to worry about it, generally I don't and I hope you guys don't to much, either. Don't get down on yourselves either, IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT that you are sick.
