Hi Wendi,

I was curious after reading your post; did you find anything out at the

doctor? I was wondering why your son would need to take meds for the

chicken pox. My daughter was offered the vaccine but I declined for

now. When my son got the vaccine, he broke out in the pox about a week

later...I didn't want to deal with that during the holidays. Anyway,

your post got me wondering if there is anything to worry about.

Mom to Ellie 13mths wCF and Jack 3yrs no CF

chicken pox and CF?

My 2 yo wcf has chicken pox (I think). He has a fever and 4 lesions.

His 4 yo sister wocf just got over them, so I'm pretty sure this is

what he has. The CF DR. said that would need to take Acyclovir

if he contracted chicken pox. Has anyone been through this? Are there

more risks w/having chicken pox because he has CF? Thanks for any

help. We have an appt at 1pm, but was just looking for opinions.

Thanks!!

Wendi

My oldest had the chicken pox put that was before we knew she had CF so she

didn't have anything special to help her through it. She was covered and did

fine. That was almost 6 years ago WOW how time flies!! Deb A

I think you can just go to the main cfparents page and change your

information there.
