Guest guest
I suppose, we ought to be careful what we wish for, lest we get it! I get a taste of the reverse situation every time I have several of the grandchildren over for the night--and the next morning, after breakfast or brunch, I take them home to their mommies and daddies to keep! And I used to think I would go nuts with the kids, the dogs, the cats, the guinea pigs, the hamsters, the Mackaw ( a definite no-no, but who knew then?), and the pet crow--hubby I did NOT go nuts with, luckily! Love to you, and your ice cream; I hope that you got your very favorite kind! Love, n Rojas non cf post OK everyone, here I sit, Monday night, Christmas vacation and I am all be myself. and Ian are spending the night with friends and hubby Damon is off helping his friend install a ceramic tile floor in Nevada. This is so strange. I wander around with nothing to do (albeit there is ALWAYS something to do around here). It is hard for me to sit and watch tv. I find myself talking to my dogs... " you guys need to come in, its cold " or " would you like something to eat? Are you hungry? " . Heaven help me when they are out of the house ( the kids not the dogs)! So I went and rented all of the chick flix I could find :)It is not uncommon for me to complain about not having time to myself, well I guess I should be careful about what I wish for! e, sitting with a box of tissues and a pint of ice cream which I don't have to share!!! ------------------------------------------- The opinions and information exchanged on this list should IN NO WAY be construed as medical advice. Guest guest
e, I can definitely relate. Having some alone time is good. But to much is not good. My dog talks back, we have some wonderful conversations. My youngest is just now 18 and is starting college classes in a couple weeks. It is very strange not having something to do or someone to do it for. I think we will adjust but it is going to take some time. I personally like being a mom & wife and doing for others.
