Trust your manual. If you have a question, the answer is there. You need

your lab work, a chest x-ray, mammogram, Pap smear and EKG. That's it, right

people?

Everyone advises that you bring copies of the info you sent with your packet

to the hospital as well, just to be sure nothing gets misplaced and would

need to be re-done. Good luck on your journey to a new life. PhillyJude

geez Jude , I didn't get a new Labs or have my EKG done because they have to

be within 30 days and I don't have my surgery date yet. If those aren't in my

packet, will that hold things up?

You're within 30 days now, so go ahead and get them. But no, you'll be OK.

I haven't had my chest x-ray; may wait til I get there. And I think they'll

want new labs and EKG and I 'll probably do them there as well. I'm not

willing to get rankled any more. I am in a peaceful, happy, tranquil place,

and I'm staying right here. They can't get me now!!!! :-) Jude

Hi Sherry,

I'm not Vitalady, but maybe this will help.

One of the tests and the very best of them, in my opinion, is the

Endoscopy. They go down through your mouth and look at the pouch and the

exit out of the pouch.

The only other test I can think of is an upper GI, in my opinion, this

test didn't do much for me. They used it to check for a stricture and it

showed that everything flowed through just wonderful, when in fact the exit

out of my pouch was 1mm. (found at the endoscopy the next week)

Hope this helps,

Joanie

may be wrong with the surgery. One of the tests is a Endoscopy (sp?)---but

what is the name of the other test that is pretty standard to look at the

pouch? ? I know you had to have a revision so maybe you know the

names of the tests? Anyone?

I've had many scopes, starting years before surgery. If I coulda sold

ulcers, I'd be a rich woman today! I certainly could mfr 'em fast enough.

I'd take a scope over a swallow type test any day.

If your child makes no progress or if there is a regression without an

explanation, then you might get a test for clostridia.
