Guest guest
Patti, I forgot to mention that in the last three days, I fed the boys more than the normal share of bananas. I have made them banana pancakes with three bananas and three eggs to share. Also, they have had banana in the chicken cupcakes and then yesterday I made almond muffins and they had pancakes over the weekend. Also, has been congested in the chest for a week. I didn't know if congestion stirs up yeast or vice versa, but this past week is when I have seen a deterioration in food choices and his autism type symptoms/sensory issues. And we have been without acidophilus supplements. I have pulled the almond flour indefinately. I am thinking about trying pecan flour/butter but don't know where to get it. I would like to find pre-made pecan butter if at all possible. I didn't know if there was a legal brand or if I needed to just learn how to make it myself. I have seen so many places that the pecan is a lot better tolerated. Anyway, thanks, again. Dana Garrett and By the way, Garrett is eating very well and a pretty good variety and is not having all of these issues. So, I know it is diet related. --------------------------------- Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo! Mail beta.
Guest guest
Hi Dana.... I am dashing out to go to a meeting... but wanted to fire this off. You will have to make your own pecan butter. I don't know of a commercially available one. (Maybe Digestive Wellness has one, I don't know?) I know you don't want to have to make it, but take heart.... it's easy. Well.... I should say, it would be easy IF you had one of the little mini-food processers like my L'il . I actually don't even own a big food processer (Santa? Are you listening?? I want the RED KitchenAid)... I make do with this little one (that someone gave me second-hand ten years ago) and a hand blender. I suppose you could do this in a full-sized food processer if you have one, I just never have. ANYway.... it's a breeze to make pecan butter a cup at a time, as I need it. I fill the mini-processer with nuts..... clap the lid on and whir them for a minute, then drizzle in small amounts of oil (I use sunflower) and whir more until it's just the right consistency. And, pecans are on sale all over the place right now... so pick a bunch up and freeze them. Even if you don't feel like making pecan butter!!! OK, I am seriously late for my park board meeting.... more tomorrow... patti Forgot to mention something, Patti Patti, I forgot to mention that in the last three days, I fed the boys more than the normal share of bananas.
