Guest guest
Dear List: My daughter has food allergies which causes her eczema. She is neurotypical. At one time SCD kept her eczema away pretty good. I tried the legal houston enzymes and ever since she has flares. She is now reacting to many SCD foods - almonds, honey, eggs, making it extremely difficult to feed her. I am thinking of trying NAET but don't want to expend this money if it doesn't really work Does anyone have any experience with it? Thank you for your input. Guest guest
Hi Eileen - We have been doing NAET with our naturopath for the past 1.5 yrs for food allergies, vaccine detox, etc. I do know that people have had some great experiences with NAET, and I have even heard of full recovery from ADD, ASD, etc. However, that has not been the case with us. NAET has been more of a great tool, and less " real " recovery from allergies, for us. My son's DAN doctor told us last year that NAET does not work well on people with compromised immune systems, like my son with ASD. He was right, atleast for the " curing " of allergies. The treatments have not " stuck " for my son in most cases, and after like 6 tx for egg whites, he still can't touch them with a 10 foot pole! :-( (that REALLY makes this diet easy too....NOT!!!) :-) Sometimes it does take multiple times for a tx to stick though, depending on whether the allergy needs to be treated in combination with something else, like " eggs and stomach acid " , so it can get complicated, and expensive. There were way to many combos needed for Ben, so we stopped the regular office tx, and jsut do the basic ones at home, when needed. After doing all the " basics " like the calcium, vitamin c, etc. we did a ton of other ones, including trying to " pull " out the MMR and DPT vaccines with the binding agent being absorbic acid (vitamin c). It didn't change my son's vaccine titers, that were still 5-16x too high for the MMR and DPT. Now, when I said that it HAS been a great tool though for us, here is what I meant. We have had a TON of experiences where we gave Ben something new in his diet, and he " freaked " out badly. I mean laying on the floor hysterical, screaming, hitting us, etc. We are trained on how to do the NAET home treatments, so we were able to do the treatment for that particular item (one time it was ketchup) on the spot. Every time we got to the same accupressure point on his foot, he acted like nothing had ever happened and got VERY calm! Different child immediately, and was fine after that. So, we know it DOES work. The tx just don't seem to hold that well for Ben. It might be worth a try for your kids though, especially if they don't have severe allegies. What you could do is do a few basic tx, and then have them train you on how to do home tx. It's sooooo easy! Our naturopath had a class on how to do them, open for anyone. Her goal was to have people doing that anyway, after some point. I would find someone who would be willing to show you how to do it at home, after the initial ones. I guess the issue will be the first BASIC 10, which they make everyone go through initially. Atleast eggs are IS in there too, so you should be able to tell pretty soon if NAET works for you by seeing if you can add eggs back. If you can, then I would continue with NAET. It's great, IF it works for you. I do have a close friend here that does NAET too, and she swears by it. Her grandmother who had a life-threatening allergy to chocolate did NAET for it, and after 50 yrs of avoiding it completely, now eats it! And this same woman's daughter had the same reaction to nuts (ambulance with a pistachio, stopped breathing) now eats nuts. I guess it just depends. Go ahead and prepare for family and friends to think you have lost your mind though....my family still doesn't GET exactly what it is (but we don't care!) LOL. ;-))) Hope this helps... :-))) > > > Dear List: > > My daughter has food allergies which causes her eczema. She is neurotypical. At one time SCD kept her eczema away pretty good. Guest guest
Hi Eileen - UGH, I posted this HUGE long email to you last night, and it said that it DID post, soooo I don't know where it is! So, this one is a bit shorter, but you can email me with questions, if you like. We have been doign NAET for about 1.5yrs for our whole family. I would say that the tx have NOT stuck in most cases, especially with the kids. My son's DAN doc said though that NAEt doesn't work well on people with compromised immune systems. Ben has been treated for egg whites like 6 times, and still can't get NEAR them. However, although we don't do the whole office visits anymore, and go through the " recommended " lists of things like dust, mold, foods, etc. we DO use NAET as a VERY effective home treatment when we get into trouble with a new allergen. We have seen our son laying on the floor, screaming and hitting us horribly, and then we do the tx (treatment) and we get to that one accupressure point on his foot every time and he is completely fine again....ALL of the sudden! It's amazing to watch. He does hold some tx, but others not so much. We even did the whole vaccine detox (MMR and DPT) last Spring using Vitamin C as the " binding " agent, and Ben's titers remained the same, anywhere from 5-16x too high. However, I do know someone else who DID pull tons of mercury out via NAET. We learned how to do the home tx from our naturopath, who first delivered them to us. She holds training sessions on how to do them, as she wants people to start that at some point, and not have to come into her office forever. It's a GREAT tool! I would recommend atleast trying it out, especially if your kids are pretty healthy to start out with, as I do know people who have had tremendous results, such as life threatening reactions to things, like nuts, and now eat them. Having a naturopath is a great thing in general, especially if you stop vaccinating, like we had to, as they can cure all the ugly diseases that are out there, if you were to get them. Chinese medicine is still far advanced compared to our docs here, unfortunately. NAET is a part accupressure and part kineseology, and really gets into how chinese techniques can heal the body. It does work, and can do amazing things for people. I hope this helps. Good luck with it!!! Feel free to email or ask more questions... Take care - ;-)))) > > > Dear List: > > My daughter has food allergies which causes her eczema. She is neurotypical. At one time SCD kept her eczema away pretty good.
