I am sympathising about the impetigo. I remember when I was five (YES, WE ARE GOING BACK A BIT!) I can remember it very well. We were living in the Middle East at the time, in Yemen, and my friend had this blister, my mum was worried about it but the doc said, no, don't worry, it's not contagious, so we were allowed to play. Of course it was impetigo and I got it, we are are talking of the days when antibiotics were not generally available, and this impetigo got infected with a a bacterial infection, (now I am going to be gross) I can remember these awful oozing sores that I had! I had to wash all over in s Coal Tar soap, and stand with the suds on for 10 minutes every day! You know how hard that is to do at five?? Of course it did eventually clear up, but I have some scars left 55 years later!! So you be careful!! However, I think it is a lot easier to treat now! Don't get scared about my horror story!!! If I remember rightly Gentian Violet is good too, and kids usually like that because of the colour, but I think they probably have more up to date stuff! Hope he gets better soon! Love Liz __________________________________________________

I would always sneak in the stray, mangy dogs into my bedroom when my mom was outside. Yes, I loved them to pieces. Would dress them in my doll clothes or if they were too big in my cloths. Well, they always had ringworm... and yes, I always got it. AnD was always painted with Genitan Violet. Would take weeks to wash that stuff off. LOL Thanks for the memories. hugs
