Ah, ha! You only think I am an angel, Heidi. That is

only because you have never met me. All kidding

aside, thank you for the sweet sentiment. I

appreciate it.

is recovering nicely. Finally got some

percocet down him and it really helped. The surgeon

numbs his patients so that it lasts 8-10 hours, so he

hasn't had a lot of pain yet. Our instructions say

that the swelling will start in 2-3 days, so he still

has some recovery to go through. NO PEANUT

BUTTER...at least not yet. He asked for fried chicken

just a minute ago, but not today! I am making him all

kinds of delicious milkshakes. The last one was 1/2

banana, 4 oz orange juice and enough vanilla ice cream

to make a shake. Tossed it all in the blender, and it

was goooood! Of course the cook always has to sample

her creations.

Oh wow! What a week. Earlier in the week I had a

couple of really heavy items dropped on me...just

things to pray about. (and worry) Then today, my older

sister found out that her rheumatoid panel is really

high (no surprise to me) and that her thyroid is low,

among other things. She had an app't later in the

month, but they are going to have her come in on

Monday instead. Also, her son is a very brittle

diabetic with end stage kidney failure. Today his

doctor told him that he probably only has about a year

to live. My nephew is not willing to try dialysis and

does not want a kidney transplant. The doctor did

reassure him that some patients on dialysis do not go

through what he watched his step-father go through so

maybe he will change his mind. He will be 41 years

old this month.

So, I am glad that this week is coming to a close. I

am glad that I have such wonderful, caring friends who

listen to me when I whine. And I am glad that Heidi

can always make me laugh!

Love to all, squeek
