I am sending good thoughts that the Dr. will find the right combinations of meds for Coralie. I am also sending good thoughts that they get the meds right for too! RP has to be harder for kids to deal with than us older ones. Their bodies are going through so many changes already and to have the RP on top must be hard. That is probably why it is so hard to get the meds to work for them too! Sending good thoughts and prayers your way! You give the kids a hug for me and tell them I said to give you one back too! Guest guest Posted May 21, 2002 Report Share Posted May 21, 2002 I was treated for an external ear infection for two months by infectious disease DR - he sent me to ENT who thought I had a yeast infection in my ears - Finally, dermatologist diagnosed as RP and I am now being treated by Rheumy Dr. I have been lucky compared to some as it only took a little over 2 months to be diagnosed. Right now my only problem is my hoarseness - Pred. Has controlled the inflammation in my ears. My problems are very mild compared to yours! Which are you major problems ? about " live threatening " disease , use the dr. but never beleive their bad news. They don't know most than all of us about RP. Coralie have to die 3 years go .She's still live and realy a mad teenager .LOL Ben is now a big problem for the DR because of his larynx or no larynx The RP had destroy almost all the cartilge .They are more afraid than me and ben.We'll find solution. Is Coralie doing better if she is decreasing on the pred? I am happy that she going to enjoy a trip with the kids from her school. You will have to tell us all about the fun she has in Spain! Tell her I wish her luck and that she has lots of fun. I went on a trip with my classmates and we had so much fun! For Ben I hope the peak flow gets much better. I know Imuran is my wonder drug. I have been on it for several years and it works well for me! I bet Nicolas is in a bad mood. It would be hard to watch anyone put up with this darn ole RP! For him to have it and two of his siblings would really be hard to deal with. It is hard enough being a kid and to have this on top of it all would just be the pits! I will send good thoughts and prayers his way that all goes well with his University exams! I know it must also be hard for you as a mother to watch your children suffer with this disease. I keep you in my thoughts and prayers always. Take care and keep us posted on how the children and you are doing. Know I am here for you when you need me! We are going to Paris arriving on Monday. If you have time, email me your telephone number, and I will call you. When people call me in Paris I never get the message!!!! Also this time I am staying in an hotel, as the house is full, so I don't know where I will be (as usual,lol) Hopefully we will be there for a few weeks, so hopefully we can get in touch.
