When I first went I loathed it and thought I would be lucky to stick it six months! But I got attached to the girls, and the thought of leaving them was too hard, so I stuck around. Now it is very much easier than when they were small, as you can imagine. Also although they are very privileged, life is not always easy for them, they have to live within the rules of their culture which is different from yours or mine. So they still need someone to vent to, and organise their appointments and travel with them, so I am lucky to still be needed. Thank you for the good thoughts.
