Guest guest
n when you boil sweetened condensed milk like that for that long you get good old fashioned caramel becuse you caramelized the sugar in the can Maureen .. There is an outland ishly sweet recipe that comes from Spain and is found in Mexico and Central and South America; one takes a large can of condensed milk, coveres it well with water, and boils it gently for one hour to one and one-half hours, removes the ends of the can, pushes it out and slices it--living death to the teeth! n Rojas, who is largely Spanish, then Portuguese, then Italian!
