Guest guest
Hi Gale, Kristy doesn't have polups, her right sinuses are completely clogged up. She goes into hospital on Wed Dec 10th and the op is on the 12th, they said she'll be in for at least 3 days after depending on what they find in her sinuses. (the ENT surgeon said her ct scan shows infection there, not sure if it's fungal or bacterial at this stage) We are very relieved whatever is going on in the sinuses is not affecting her lungs so far!! > When does Kristy have her polup surgery? Does that require an > overnight stay at the hospital? I'm glad that her clinic visit went > so well. I'm sure that must be a relief. > > Gale
Guest guest
Good luck! While she is under ask them to take a sputum sample from her lungs. Its the best way to get a good sample. Also, make sure that they give her a shot of vitamin K for clotting. I know I am a busy body...... Rosemary in NY with 3 children (13, 11 and 7) with CF. I have a dog named TOBI and have coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT "

Guest guest
OOPS! Cannot remember what silly goof I made, perhaps that it would be good that she would be sedated if they did a bronch! Love and hope, n Re: Re: Update on Kristy ......Gale > > > > Good luck! While she is under ask them to take a sputum sample from her > > lungs. Its the best way to get a good sample. Guest guest
Barbara, Will you please send us the address for the hospital that Kristy will be in? I'd like to send her a card. How old is Kristy? Is she nervous about the surgery? Gale > > When does Kristy have her polup surgery? Does that require an > > overnight stay at the hospital? Guest guest
Thanks for the address. Cards always make children feel a little better, even if it's only for a little while. I hope that her stay is an easy one. Gale > > > > When does Kristy have her polup surgery? Does that require an > > > > overnight stay at the hospital?
