Hi all, can someone tell me if they used a credit card for the

surgery and if they got a cheaper interest rate? Or any other loans.

Well for some strange reason they do not take American Express. Thank goodness

that my credit line with American Express has a check writing option.

They only take Visa and Mastercard. I wish they would get American Express, not

for me because I am covered but they must understand that many people who are

self pay like myself and you have to pool several credit cards.

The service charge rate they pay for the use of American Express is a little

more than Visa or Mastercard but not that much. After all these are hugh

charges and this brings in a lot of revenue.

As far as elective surgical financing, it is available but again their office

has not set up anything yet. Check out Health Ready.com and Patient Finance.com.

Patient Finance has a quick on line application and I was approved for 5,000.00

the next day. The only problem is that the Dr.'s office is not signed up with

them yet so they will no give me the money. Frustrating.

According to Patient Finance.Com the Dr's offices do not pay a fee. Oh well. I

understand that the hospital doe snot take AMEX as well.
