Lee, he does sound to be a remarkable boy! Three

and his compliance!

my two nephews (no CF) are both VERY skinny at 14 and 5 y.o. I realise

it's important to get weight on them, but sometimes I think the CF team

forget how prem he was. They have nothing to campare him to, cos he's the

premiest Cf child so far in Aust I'm told. Everytime the CF team vistit

(every 3 months they come to a local hospital in our town) I tremble. I am

so scared they are going to say he's too skinny. This visit the dietitian

was ecstatic? She hadn't seen him for 6 months, and she remembers how little

he was at 2 weeks. Sometimes I have to tell little white lies regarding his

feeding (I was advised to) he isnt that crash hot with finger foods. He has

never picked anything up off the carpet and put it in his mouth! Unlike

some kids who pick up everything. He still doesnt eat a biscuit as fast as

I'd like, but he gets there.

> He has always sat perfectly still for Nebs and physio and when you walk

into the lounge with his syringes/meds he opens his mouth before you even

sit down next to him. I'm sure this wont last forever.

> Thanks again for the kind words

The true test of how well is doing is how YOU as his mother feel he is

doing. If he is eating well that is all that counts.

Like you said. They don't have anything to compare it to. You are with him

every day and can see the results. Pat yourself on the back. You are a

good Mom and take good care of . You are doing a great job.

Lee,

Wow, you are lucky. Abby fights the neb treatments. We have to do

them while she is sleeping.
