Guest guest
Sherry: Haven't a clue, m'dear. Haven't a clue. But you've got to remember some of these people who say they haven't exercised have young kids and are getting a lot of exercise just dealing with that. Anyhow, maybe you'll be win like in the 'tortoise and hare' stories. I hope so. Keep us posted and enjoy the Y membership. Don't forget to get the assessment and pointers they offer for free when you first go in or when you go back after a hiatus. Does wonders keeping us disciplined to 'do the right thing!' I'm a pre-op so am hoping when this happens to me I'll have some perspective and can say, " Well, J, that's how they GET the average, duh! " All the best, Judith in Seattle Help! Sherry in NC >> Sherry, I don't know if this helps, but my sister had the MGB on May 12th, that puts her at 16 weeks post op and she has lost around 53 lbs. which is an average of a little over 3 lbs a week which is what you are averaging. She is content with that, she knows its coming off, her skin may have more time to adapt and come back in some and it's really more healthy. She says she knows she could probably lose faster if she exercised regularly, but that is something she'd never liked to do. So I don't know if this helps, just try to take it a day at a time and you will lose. Guest guest
sherry i think u r doing really good. some peoples metabolism is different and u might be the one that has to excercise more. I think if u do go to the y that would be the best thing. And just remember sometimes we loose inches and then the pounds start dropping off again. hugs and : )'s marg
