Guest guest
Hi! Just a quick hello to see how work went to-day. You should be finishing soon if you work regular daytime hours. I hope things went well and that you are feeling good about things and not working too hard. I'm still taking in my news from yesterday and coming to terms with it. I've decided to have the EUS (naturally) but make another appointment with Prof Neoptolemos. I don't want till 5th Jan. which was the date given yesterday. Of course, they'll send me for me automatically if there's a prob with the EUS but I'll make that appointment anyway. The Prof I saw yesterday was superb but I personally feel better with " my " Prof!! In the meantime, assuming I'm well, I'm going to London next week for a conference arranged for this year's batch of new specialist colleges. Had an amazing coincidence to-day. Our school is called " Sacred Heart High School " . I got a phone call from " Sacred Heart High School " in London. I know nothing about them; the name is obviously a common one for schools. They are putting in a bid for specialist status next October. A consultant had advised them to phone me as I might be able to help them. I phoned the teacher involved. I happened to mention that I'd be in London next Wednesday. Now London is a BIG place!! BUT, when I told her the name of the hotel where the conference is being held, idly wondering if it just might be possible to meet up somewhere before we have to come back to Liverpool that evening, but thinking it most unlikely, she told me their school was on the other side of the road from that hotel!!! Must be meant to be! Such a coincidence couldn't happen otherwise! She's going to come over the road to meet us at 4.00 pm after our conference and take us across to see her school....while we give her a few tips on what we found worked well in our bid! Well, sorry to be boring! I'm sure nurses are every bit as bad as teachers about " talking shop " ! Please take care Chrissy and I hope you are feeling better about things in general. With love, Fliss
