Digestive Wellness has overstock pecan meal on sale for $1.99 per lb. right now.

New stock pecan meal is under $5 per lb right now also. I stocked up on the

overstock pecan meal because, remember, you can freeze nut flour to preserve its

life.

Flour-hot breakfast cereal

Could anyone suggest a more cost effective nut flour for hot cereal?

The recipe I found calls for almond flour. Would like to try with others.

Other ingredients

are just water, honey and yogurt.

Also, would adding the yogurt to the cooked flour mixture kill the good stuff

in the

yogurt?? How would you reheat?

Thanks for all your help. barb

You can use any nut flour for that recipe. The cost will depend on

your area. There is a sale of some nut flours a digestive wellness.

The Macadamian nut meal would probably taste quite nice.

Adding yogurt to hot nut cereal will likely kill the bacteria unless

you allow it to cool (to at least ~100-100°F).

<< How would you reheat?>>

If prepared in advance you should be able to reheat it by placing it in

a small saucepan with a small amount of water and gently simmering it

with stirring (to prevent scorching it).
