Guest guest
Arto, I had 4 or 5 infusions of immunoglobuline ( I believe that's the same stuff), during a bad spell about 18 months ago. Since I was taking pred and other meds, in differing combinations and dosages, it's hard to be certain but I and my rheumy believe it helped. My rheumy felt that infusions every 5 or 6 weeks would provide maximum benefit, but that the treatment would become less effective by repeated use. Therefore, he wants to reserve it for use if my symptoms become more serious again. Good luck. Bill

Sometimes it is inevitable unfortunately. Anyway carry on walking in the woods and eating wild berriews - it sounds very good for your health! I haven't heard about gammaglobulin as a treatment - let us know how it goes. Guest guest
Arto, It is good to hear from you. I'm glad to hear your RP is stable. I am not familiar with tha gammaglobulin treatments for RP. I do know my neighbor gets them because he has very little of an immune system. He says it does wonders for him. I am sorry to hear about your separation. God Bless. Sandy ----- Original Message ----- Heippa!Summer is so short here in the North, that´s why I must be moving on andon. :-)Not all the time, but sometimes I like to pick up wild berries andmushrooms, and came just home from the forrest nearby with an almostempty basket. My RP is quite stable, blood test results are quite good, but my rightear has been read and swollen quite a long period.I´m on Prednison (12,5 mg) and Arava, and after 2 weeks, I should try gammaglobuline IV, as a guinea pig.Has anyone got it or heard anything about it?My family life hasn´t been very happy or supportive for yrs and now it´shistory - we have two homes. It wasn´t any surprise, so "still alive" and waiting for a bettertomorrow, but we have "only" four kids and for them this maybe a bitharder.I´m sorry I haven´t given any chance for you to give any help andsupport (I´m sure you would have done anything to help us), but I´m atypical Finnish man.Terveisin,ArtoDISCLAIMER!!WE ARE NOT MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, THEREFORE ANY INFORMATION THAT IS RECEIVED HERE IS FROM EXPERIENCE ONLY.
