Dear Sheila,

Thank you from our hearts! Thanks to you I now know that Uva Ursi is

not safe. It is high in phenols and very hard on the liver and

kidneys. Elaine said that it is not recommneded for children. Kiki

has a phenol sensitivity that is getting better....but still there.

I started her on garlic....am looking into other safe things....like

organo....but I think this is just for funal.....Pseudomonas A is a

bacteria.

I am calling the DAN! and insisting that they see her today! No more

of this BS! they did the test...now he can step up to the plate.

Waiting a month is not right! SHE IS SICK NOW! sorry but a bit angry

Hi Antoinette,

Oil of oregano does have antibacterial activity:

From: http://intelegen.com/ImmuneSystem/oregano_oil.htm

" ...Oregano oil was one of only three oils that inhibited the growth of

Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a hard-to-kill bacterium that causes human

wound infections... "

From: http://www.thewolfeclinic.com/oregano.html " Isomeric phenols

(primarily carvacrol) in oregano oil in dilutions as low as 1/50,000

destroys Candida albicans, the Aspergillus mold, Staphylococcus,

Campylobacter, Klebsiella, E.coli, Giardia, Pseudomonas, and Proteus. "

Grapefruit Seed Extract also has antibacterial activity:

from http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Spa/4415/grapefruit.html

" ...grapefruit. The extract from this common fruit has been shown to be

effective against many germs, such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus,

Listeria, E. coli, Klebsiella, Legionella, Salmonella, Shingella,

Cholera and Pseudomonas. "

*If* you decide to try the oil of oregano (and I think you need to do

your own research and see if it is compatible with all Kiki's symptoms)

start with small amounts, as it is very strong.

Some papers also indicate that garlic helps also.

You will probably need to treat her for die off when you start these

treatments. Although much research indicates that good bacteria is not

harmed by oil of oregano, garlic or GSE; there seems to be some debate

over it. If it were me I'd take doses of probiotics and/or yogurt

between doses of antibacterial agents whether they were medicine or

natural agents, just to be on the safe side.
