hey friends, i am postop and can't wait til i can see my way to be a

postop! my letter is sitting with the director of human resources at

the hospital where i work, i have no idea how long it will take to

get a response from her. being that this surgery is not a covered

procedure, i'm counting on a denial, and planning on an appeal.

anyway, i was just kinda thinkin of what it would be like to be

a " normal " size for the first time in my life...and i was

wondering...do any of the postops out there know if your feet

actually get smaller/less wide? i have a terrible time with shoes cuz

my feet are so wide. i'm hoping that they too will become a " normal "

size. what else that you wouldn't normally think about getting

smaller gets smaller? (besides boobs?)

thanks

I agree with Irma...I'm just 2 weeks postop. I have very short, fat,

stubby fingers and wear a size 13 ring. In the last couple of days,

all my rings have become very loose, flopping around on my fingers.

My watch has become so loose it's never in the right place when I

look at it. Yep...it's the little things that make this so

exciting. Perhaps no one else can see my little changes, but I sure

can! I've lost 25 pounds so far. YaaaHoooooooo!!! :-)))))))))

Hi Irma,

I don't mind helping you out as much as I can... LOL means Laugh Out Loud ...

since you can't hear or see expressions on the computer, sometimes symbols

are used to show emotions. This is a smile- :^)

This is a rose @--}---- Just have fun!!! Good luck in everything you do!

Thanks.... one of those " post " facts that if somone did'nt tell me I

would continue to do. I just thoght it looked neater. As a matter of

fact I posted something the other day and got a couple of neg.

reactions. I wonder if the caps gave a tone to the post that i did'nt

intend. Since we're talking what does LOL mean?(to others: I know

this is for MGB support not tech support, but this was helpful).

thanks again

Irma,

LOL = Laugh Out Loud. Meaning, I meant it in a funny or kind way. Kind

of adds tone to your posts. Let's you know I wasn't being ugly when I

wrote that. :)

I am by no means an expert on Netiquette, but I do know that. hehe

These are the ones that I remember most!

sometimes the abbreviations that i read on this site have me guessing

for awhile too, but it's fun...kinda like seeing a different car tag

and trying to figure out what it reads/means. i did figure out what

ROTFLMAO until a few days ago...i am so slow.
