We also used Colimycin inhaled along with Cirpoxin. She has now been PA

free for a few years after 12 or so months of intensive treatment.

Tobi vs Coly...

I've been reading that most of your doctors use Tobi to treat PA. When

Savannah cultured PA we nebuliezed Coly-Mycin(sp?). Is there a big

difference?

Savannah is continuously on breathing treatments every 4 hrs. around the

clock. She

takes Albuterol, Atrovent, and Cromolyn (Intal) each treatment and has

two

inhalers as well. she also takes 25 mg of Prednisone every other day.

She does

have MRSA but when that flares up we do nebulized Vancomycin. She takes

a lot

of other meds as well but I was most curious about the Tobi vs the Coly-

Mycin.

That's great! Savannah hasn't been as lucky but so far not much lung damage

due to PA.

Savannah has never been on Tobi so I had nothing to compare the Coly-Myacin

to.
