Hi,

My son (ASD, 5 years old) has recently started constant chewing on his shirt

sleeve, and gotten a few OCD behaviors as well. Any suggestions? I was

thinking of putting him on a zinc supplement any suggestions?

We are Week 2 of SCD.

Currently on "

Spectrum Supplements (3 cap)

Nordic Naturals Cod liver oil (2 tsp)

Nordic Natural Complete Omega 3-6-9 (1 tsp)

MB12 0.06mc/ml (daily)

I need a good B12 complex vitamin (the one we had is not SCD legal).

Will be starting the calcium chewables and magnesium glycinate.

Thanks,

Tumpa Reinhardt

At only two weeks in, you are definitely still in the beginning time frame....

where some of the things you're seeing could be attributed to die-off. If so,

this should be temporary. Are you doing epsom salts baths or lotion?

What legal calcium chewable did you find? I've never heard of one that's legal.

Until you find a legal B-12, I think you should discontinue the one you're

currently using.

Cole is on the methyl B12 shot. I would not ever stop this, the gains I see

from it are too obvious and great! He has been on it for almost 2 years.

I'm looking for a B-complex in powder, we have stopped the one we were

using.

The calcium chewable has the following:

Calcium carbonate, magnesium stearate (vegetable), stearic acid (vegetable)

and Vitamin D.

Is something on it not legal?

Thanks for your help!

Tumpa,

I was going by what you wrote here:

<<I need a good B12 complex vitamin (the one we had is not SCD legal).>>

Maybe that's not what you meant to type? I assumed you were using an oral B-12

that was not legal. The injections are fine... that's just not what you

originally wrote. :)

If those are the only ingredients in the calcium chewable, it looks fine.

There's no sweetener or flavoring? Could you tell us what brand it is... many

other parents would probably like to find a legal chewable.

thanks,

Patti
