Hi. My similar problem is that I'm 58 (and not 23 like I feel) and I have

osteoarthritis and was on daily medication until surgry. In fact, I was

panicked about the possibility of going even one day without meds because of

joint pain. You could email any questions you might have or you can call

me...

I can give you the old farts perspective on the surgery as well as my take on

the arthritis..which was awful before surgery!

Furball, I am still pre op but am 57 and have arthritis in knees and

Where exactly do you live? I live near the Virginia border also, in a

little town called Warrenton. I can't help you with the

osteoarthritis because I don't have that problem. I'm 50 years old

and had my surgery on 7/17/00. I'm doing great and my weight loss has

really been better than I expected for someone my age. If you would
