I'll be in the hospital for about 2 days to a week and what better place to be to spread the word to doctors. My Ortho doctor didn't know about RP so I gave him one on the brochures so one more doctor is seeing a small part of the light. Gave my Rheumy a bunch too...he seemed very pleased to get them. Will give my dentist some too..shoot any kind of a doctor needs to know about RP. Think while I am off work after my surgery and I'm able to get out I'll have my husband drive me out to the base hospital and I'll see who I can pass them out to there. There's an idea...military hospitals or even VA hospital would be a great place to go. I'm sure many of us have husbands who go to the VA or are retired military. After 6 months of seeing all kinds of doctors and being tested for everything possible, I starting researching on the internet until I read about RP. I told my moms doctor and after that, they considered it as a possibility. Every time I meet anyone in the medical field I ask them if they know about RP and the majority of them don't. I would like to help create awareness about RP, so people will know how to treat others with RP. Please let me know if you need me to send you a check, or what do I need to give you in order to get the brochures and boxes. Thank you again for making a difference. Brochures !!!! Put them in hospitals, dr offices, clinics, send them to friends and relatives, ...... lets get the word out. I live in Calif too. I live in Manteca.. Between SF and Sacramento.
