Thank you so much for your response.

I actually had my daughter looking at a couple of postings last night.

Hopefully she will start wanting to become more knowledgeable and try to take

some control.

Any information you have on the school situation, as well as the

insurance-disability information is appreciated.

She had another flare up over the weekend- going to the emergency room around

1:30 am on Sunday for pain medication. The morphine at home was doing the job.

They give her injections of " Deloudin " - not sure of the spelling. This seems

to help when nothing else does. She had had a sandostatin injection (30 mg

every 18 days) on Friday, the 11th- so we thought she was good to go for a

couple of weeks. I guess not- as soon as you start to think you have guessed

the pattern and can make some predictions- CP lets you know that it is in

control and you are at its mercy.

She has an appointment at UPMC-Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Its a 7 hour trip, so

we'll be leaving tomorrow morning and try to have some fun in Pitts tomorrow

night- make the trip a little more pleasant. I am anxious to hear what they are

to say- I have heard remarkable things about Dr. Slivka. they have already

reviewed the records- confirmed the diagnosis and stated that all possible is

already being done- but they are going to provide education to us and maybe a

different perspective.
