Guest guest
I just spent $8 on an 8 oz. bag of pistachio nuts at the HF store. When I got them home I noticed they we processed at a facility that processes wheat, etc... We tolerate nuts well, and they are generally very healthy. Can anyone tell me a safe brand of whole nuts to look for? Or, a place on-line where I can order legal nuts?? Especially pistachios? Thanks, Amy
Guest guest
Is your child extremely allergic to wheat? If not, you probably don't need to worry about this. They have to report this to warn people with life threatening allergies.... it doesn't mean there is actually a wheat coating on these pistachios. I know that with the GF diet, you have to be extremely vigilant about the slightest speck of contamination.... but unless a starch/oil coating has been put on these nuts, or you child is deathly allergic, you can use them.
