Guest guest
Hi! My son gets discolouration on his teeth also. At first I thought his teeth were permanently discoloured until after a cleaning by the dental hygienist, they were sparkly white again!! Phew!! He needs to have his teeth cleaned every 6 months. I have no idea what the cause of it is. He is SCD (21 mos.) and had this problem before taking enzymes. Donna mom to Norman ASD 6 yrs. SCD 21 mos. Guest guest
Hi, Donna, I can't help with the discoloration part, but here in Massachusetts, the kids who are on MassHealth and are developmentally delayed are allowed more visits to the dentist for cleanings, because they can be so difficult in dental hygeine. We go 3 or 4 times a year for cleaning. BJ won't let us brush his teeth - I use a quick wipe with the washcloth, and he's 9. Sue > > Hi! My son gets discolouration on his teeth also. Guest guest
>Are they turning gray? It could be an iron defficiency. I am getting my son checked when we go to see the neurologist in October. He has a couple of other signs too-pale and chews ice all the time. I used a strong probiotic on my son last year and his teeth started turning gray almost immediately. I stoppped it and it went away. We are now using scdophilus and goat yogurt. We had a little trouble with the discoloration coming back when he couldn't eat eggs for a while. I added enzymes back in and now he can eat eggs and the discoloration is gone again. I am not sure about the GSE, we have never used it. Mandy > Hi - my daughter has had dicoloration on her teeth since November of > last year. Guest guest
Thanks for all the imput! My daughter's teeth aren't turning gray...they are stained a greenish brownish color. We are looking into different enzymes and also getting her heavy metal load checked. We do the cleanings once a month also, but the stain returns in a week. Thanks again- > >Are they turning gray?
