There are egg free recipes on pecanbread.com. I think some use pear or

applesauce as an egg substitute... some use a gelatin and water mixture. I was

going to look more in depth but my browser is acting up.

egg substitute on scd

Anyone have a good egg substitute for SCD pancakes? One of my kiddos

is showing signs of egg sensitivity.

Patti gave you great ideas!

Some kids can tolerate duck eggs.

Sorry, I haven't yet found an egg substitute that works with the pancakes for

SCD... if you find one.. please let me know. Pancakes were my daughter's

favorite food. I follow the recipes with egg substitute ( legal of course) and

they just won't fry up. they turn into mush. good luck.. let me know what you

find!

I don't know if anyone has tried this yet, but this suggestion comes from my

friend Gail who used to work in 5 star restaurants around the East coast.

Rather than a pancake, has anyone tried using an egg substitute, but frying

as a crepe? A crepe doesn't require flipping, which is what I'm told has

been the problem with non egg pancakes. She hasn't tried it herself, but

Gail thought that this could be a workable solution. You could leave it

flat like a pancake, or you could fill with baked fruits, yogurt, or

anything else that you like. Then, you just roll it up.
