<< I don't know if you have

tried it Cathy, I just wanted to share with you that I used the

patches when I quit this time and they really helped me a lot. I

know that I am fighting the physcological part of the addiction now.

The physical part has been gone for 11 months. Thanks for sharing,

. And to you Cathy keep on trying, I know how hard it is. I

figure once I get this surgery, I oughta be darn near perfect. What

else is left? What do ya think? A person can dream can't they?

Bonded by experience, strength, and hope,

Rhonda >>

I'm trying them now Rhonda. I've tried to quit before, but the longest I've

ever quit was a month. that's a shame isn't it, to allow something to control

me like that. I think the part that worries me the most is that this craving,

desire, need however a person likes to describe it will always stay with me.

I will say it is about to drive me over the edge, but I'm just going to try

and take it one day at a time. if anyone would like to throw out a prayer or

a wish that I gather the strength to do this I would really appreciate it.

I'm reaching that wall climbing state quick!!! LOL LOL I would still

like to hear what happened if you don't mind.

Thanks Rhonda and I know what you mean about being perfect, we give up

smoking and Dr. R helps us lose weight, and we can't drink coffee or alcohol

afterwards, we won't have any vices left. LOL LOL LOL

Cathy- I know how hard it is to quit smoking. I finally did it. I wanted this

surgery soooooooo bad- I just let them go. I still want them-but the one

thing that keeps me from picking them up is my mind saying- " I don't ever

want to have the pain of quitting again. " So far it has worked since Aug 17.

I pray that it keeps working. It is very very hard. Good luck!!!

Wow that's wonderful Terri. Good for you!!!!!!!!! So you have been quit for

34 days now, that is so great, I've only been stopped a couple of days now

and that's what I keep telling myself too. I want this surgery, I have to

stop and I hope I never start back. I'm just going to try to take it a day at

a time, and pray and cross my fingers and toes that I can do it and still

have all my hair a month from now if I 've not pulled it all out. LOL LOL

Cathy,

It is definitely not an easy habit to break-but I will keep you in my

prayers. When I want a cigarette, I always say " If I smoked, NOW would be a

great time to have a cigarette! " LOL! Then I tell myself that I don't and

can't! It has worked so far. Good luck! You are in my prayers!
