Guest guest
Candace, TELL them that it upsets you when they make a big deal of the odors! Remind them that the kids can't help it. They may just be kidding (we always call stinky-even when she is not, I also used to call my niece without CF stinky when she was little) but let them know that it bothers you. TELL the church nursery that what she has is not communicable and that if they tell you to take her away that they are discriminating against a small child with a disability not a kid with a cold. and that You could always take the complaint to the pastor but that you would prefer not to make a big deal of their insensitivity and unchristian behavior. Tell people who make comments about going to the doctor that your child is being taken care of by a specialist and to mind their own business! Sometimes people make these comments with the best of intentions, but they have no idea of what you are going through every day of your children's lives. About Madison's cough, is it worse than the last time you spoke to CF clinic or is it not getting any better with medication? If it is worse or if she has been on meds for a few days and you are not seeing any results, you might want to call into the clinic and ask for something else. We tried the scandishakes and HATES them. She won't touch them. I know a lot of people live on them so I suppose that it is a personal taste thing. I hope this helps some. Re: CF and Bits of Akward humor I am having a very bad day yall Madison is coughing so much I think she is going to hurt herself, she wont eat I mean not even her fav-Pizza and I am having a hard time even getting her to drink her pediasure and boy does she throw a fit about enzymes..Ive managed to cram it down het throat she keeps yelling at me Mommys mean I not love her!!! that is the worst thing i have ever heard and I just read your funny jokes and for some reason it made me really sad for you and for my daughter. I hope that doesnt upset you but I know I could not handle having CF yall are drfiniely fighters and I hope my girl has your outlook and strength...I find myself getting really hurt when the church nursery tells me i have to take he away from the other children or when people ask me god why dont you take the child to the doctor....people can be so mean and I even get upset when family members call her stinky when she comes out of the restroom or when they changed her diaper...I guess its just one of those days...does anyone use scandipharm are theyre shakes good? Candace 3 Kids 2 w/cf, 1, and 3 months without..
