Guest guest
Hi all, I have a general question for everyone. Have you noticed that when coming down off of Pred you get a little depressed? Just wondered if that's what is causing me to be depressed, or if it's the other junk going on in my life. Need your thoughts and appreciate them. Guest guest
Absolutely!!!! I'm not usually a weepy person but boy getting off the pred makes me bawl at the drop of a hat...Of course on pred you seem to have more energy etc and then all of a sudden the " high " isn't there. Just my thoughts on the subject...Love, Sue M

That is why it is best to do it really slowly, and in small amounts, Years ago, when I was on and off pred for breathing problems I used to get, well, manic! One doc told me I shouldn't have a problem going from 40mg per day to zero! I said " have you ever been on prednisone? " He said " well, no " . I said, " well on this one, beleive me I WOULD HAVE A PROBLEM " . He didn't say anything else!!LOL. There is a book called Living with Prednisone or something like that, by a woman called Eugenia something, which had a lot of information. Sory my info is so scrappy, I gave the book to someone else. Maybe someone else has read it or knows it, I found it was quite helpful, and agreed with most of it. Guest guest
Hi , This never fails to happen to me. I tend to get really weepy and I hate it. I am down to 5 mg as of yesterday....don't know if I'll stay there for long or not. Maybe having a fresh infusion of Remicade will help. Take care! Guest guest
Dear , Sorry to hear you are depressed. I have been too, off, and on. Can't blame mine on the pred. because I am on the same dose of it now that I was a year ago. For you, it could well be a combination of the pred. and the other junk in your life. Hope that things will settle down for you. I am on Zoloft and that has helped some. I've been on the same dose of that for four years and after a period of about 3 years I have heard it just doesn't work as well. Still, I would hate to see what my life would be without it. It has sure helped with the nasty panic attacks that I used to get on a daily basis. Take care and have a nice relaxing weekend. Love, Marilyn Hi all, > I have a general question for everyone.
