Hey Gwen,

I had my surgery a day before you...I was the youngster walking around with

my IV " POLE " right after surgery =O). I have been doing great and have tried

a few smoothies. 1/2 Bannana, 3-4 strawberries 2-3 spoonfuls of yougurt and

ice. I usually mix my creatin and my whey protien into that for breakfast. I

can only drink 1/2 and save the rest in the freezer for dinner. You can

substitue other fruits too.

I have tried watermelon (chewed real good) and its great.

I mix my citricel in cranberry juice...that really kicks the flavor. I used

to hate cranberry juice....now I love it. WEIRD??!!??

I have eaten the chicken and the noodles out of the chicken soup...I had no

problems...I tried that yesterday. I too, am a chicken about what I can

taste...I decided I would not try anything for a little while.

Gatorade is old to me now, so I drink OJ, cranberry and water. They seem to

settle fine.

Good luck to you and let me know how things are going with you...

Oh and when I weighed after surgery, I was 21 lbs lighter!! YEAH

Hi ,

Try mixing equal parts of cranberry juice and orange juice....it's

wonderful. Just be careful with the acid in the cranberry juice, sometimes it

bothers me.

Love,

Genz

Gwen, I loved watermelon with lots of salt. The first two weeks that

was my salvation. I spitout the pulp though. I would sit in front of

the computer with salted watermelon and a fork and a paper cup to

spit the pulp in. I also ate other fruits, but not the pulp during

hte first two weeks. Also fruit popcycles are good!

Good to see you posting again Genz, Have been thinking about you and

wondering how you were doing. I am going for some orange juice

tomorrow so I can make your drink . Do you have any tips on the

citrucel, I am having a major gag problem with that stuff. I need to

hide it somewhere. The carafate is bad enough but I can get that down

and survive it because I know it ends in a month, but my word that

citrucel is gonna be around for life.

Thanx ,

I am real anxious to try a smoothie, something anything

refreshing. The one thing I have enjoyed and 2 weeks ago would not

have touched for any amount of money is V-Juice. I love it, I pour me

some in a 3 oz dixie cup, add some salt and drink it while I nibble

on a saltine cracker. And I did eat some chicken and stars soup

today, the stars were easier to make sure I got them chewed good

before swallowing. (like I said I am a big chicken------ I do not

want to experience dumping)

Do you remember who I was? We talked at clinic Tues comparing the

best gatorade flavor? Let me complete that debate now, There is no

best flavor. haha

Take Care and stay in touch.
