Thanks a bunch. Really glad to hear more good results on hip

replacements. The VP at my offfice doesn't think it's a good thing

to do, but then again the person he keeps reflecting on didn't come

out that well. Think they shaddered the bone when putting in the

replacement. But I have had more positive input and neg...he also

doesn't think I'll be up to doing any work from home...ie on the

computer or phone, but he also doesn't realize what I really went

through when I had my implants removed. I only missed two days of

work from that. Yep...it was tuff, but I've always been one to feel

a person can do anything if they put their mind to it. Having had

to live in a lot of pain like I have for over 20 years one learns to

cope with a lot. With the hip however, it's come down to me slowly

not being able to walk anymore. I went to the grocery at our

military base and couldn't finish my shopping. That right there

told me the time has come for the replacement. I told them at work

if I don't have the hip replacement then I would have no choice

other than to go on disability...live in extreem pain and finally

find my self in a wheelchair. My Rheumy agreed with me on that one.

I told my husband a few months ago if I had but only one wish it

would be to have the power to put my hands on someone and allow them

to feel the pain I live in everyday. Wow..you would have thought I

would have wished for a million dollars, but that just shows you how

the outside world cannot see or feel what I do. I've learned to

hide pain for many reasons, but I've just reached a point in my life

where I cannot control how I look or feel.

You don't know how much I appreciate hearing from someone who has

had a hip replacement. I'm looking forward to the day when I can

walk a mile and enjoy it without pain. Heck, I'd enjoy it if I

could walk to my mail box.

At the age of 54 I'm not ready just yet to say I cannot do it

anymore. I just pray that the RP remains quiet and under control.

I don't know how many of you cope with the extreen flares you have.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who hasn't really had that part of

RP to badly.

hugs

Hope the hip replacement goes well and you are like a new women! Lets think positive that it will! Sounds like you have already had your fair share of miseries! Good thoughts going your way!

Lots of Love
