" Absolutely, you are right about the need to continue at least random blood glucose testing. It is unfortunate that most health care providers do not understand the close proximity and risk factors associated with pancreatitis and diabetes. It's good that you had the experience of having another health care problem diagnosed, due to the fact that you were taking an active role in your medical care and monitoring. This experience will give you the impetus to be empowered and responsible for your own health. There are so many people that still say, " okay? " , and turn over their health to someone else. Though we need our healthcare providers, our health and well being is ultimate our responsibility.
