It can be smoked by hanging in a smokehouse but should not contained " smoke " as an ingredient. Some people are able to get a local smokehouse to prepare an SCD ham. Using some good cuts of pork such as roasts, spareribs, cutlets and pork chops and minced pork is a good option. Carol F.
Guest guest
Hi Leah, > O.K. You'll be looking for legal ingredients , similar to bacon minus the sugar, maple syrup etc... If honey is an ingredient make sure it is pure honey. If unable to find a legal one you may be able to talk to a local butcher to have one prepared with legal ingredients. > On another subject...if I boil peaches to loosen the skin, peel, then > slice what is the best way to preserve them? Add lemon? (which we > haven't used yet at all) freeze? Other? Freezing in freezer safe bags is an option. For longer storage you could try canning them using a good canning recipe. > Another quick question...how long does goat yogurt last? From the BTVC website under " yogurt faq " : " It can last up to three weeks in the fridge, but the bacteria will remain active in it for two weeks at most.
