honey. I thought

it wasn't. It needs to be pure honey.... and it needs to be filtered and

clear... but it's okay

to use raw. Sheila just straightened me out, evidenced below. Forgive me,

everyone!

Elaine says in BTV:

" Although many health claims are made for various enzymes. pollen and substances

to be

in the honey, it is preferred that when on this diet you use a honey that is

fairly clear when

held up to the light, A slighly cloudy appearance is all right. pasteurized

honey from a

store as well as honey bought from a beekeeper is all right. "

Could Sheila or anyone please clarify regarding Cream Honey. I

bought 100% North American clover honey that is U.S. Grade Fancy

Unfiltered uncooked honey. It does not look clear so I don't know if

this is ok. I know Sheila said it was ok but I just want to make

sure because everyone including the book states that it should be

clear.

Thanks!

Jill,

I quoted Elaine's entire instructions regarding honey today in post # 56510. I

guess you

missed it.

Elaine says in BTVC:

" Although many health claims are made for various enzymes. pollen and substances

to be in the honey, it is preferred that when on this diet you use a honey that

is

fairly clear when held up to the light, A slightly cloudy appearance is all

right. pasteurized

honey from a store as well as honey bought from a beekeeper is all right. "

I live in Canada and we like Billy Bee clear white honey.

Creamed honey can be legal, but it needs to meet the two parameters

Elaine established. It has to be

1. filtered (it will be clear when liquid) and

2. 100% pure

Since this is an unfiltered honey it wouldn't be legal.
