Guest guest
More on this topic... I wrote before and have had GOOD success with the sphrincteronomies and stenting. I am feeling very anxious this time. Maybe because so many of you have posted having complications/extended pain. I have always done well, SO I am hopeful again. I think (and hope) it is normal to worry that maybe this time it won't work... I am trying to be optimistic, as I do real WELL with my CP. I will be glad to share how I do, and the details when I am able to be coherent! I will be flying to Indpls on Thurs. April 22nd for the procedure on Friday a.m. Dr. Lehman will cut the duct as much as he can and " STUFF " as many stents in as he can. Last time he got two in. He said he will be " aggressive " which means I will hurt like hell for several days!!! The stents pass on their own - I never even know they are there or when I pass them. I get the x-ray three weeks post, and the stents have always been gone. I have done this at least 8 times. I did not have good success until I started going to Indiana and having Dr. Lehman do the procedure three years ago. This will be my third (or fourth?) time he has done this. I went 11 months without an attack the last time. I do appreciate all the sharing of experiences. As many have shared, we all have our unique experiences, but our collective voices help in coping with this illness.
