Guest guest
Different bees fly to different flowers. Different flowers provide different pollen. Thus you get different colored honey. Filtering doesn't automatically make the honey a golden color. The color has to do with the color of the nectar/pollen the bees collected. Guest guest
Golden.... or brownish.... it still should be CLEAR when you hold it up to the light. If it is cloudy, it's not legal. It is a clear golden honey. Carol F.
Guest guest
Anya- I don't think you want raw honey. Pure honey is fine, and less expensive. We are an hour north of San Diego, and buy 5lb. bottles of honey at Costco. Even supermarkets probably carry what you want, it is not like juice (often illegal on SCD); honey is rarely illegal on SCD and easy to find! Guest guest
Lorilyn, Sheila corrected me about the raw honey. It IS okay to use raw honey.... but you do want FILTERED, clear, 100% PURE honey. patti Re: Dave Barrickman Beehives Anya- I don't think you want raw honey. Pure honey is fine, and less expensive.
