Guest guest
Yes, that's an error in the book. OJ from concentrate is not legal. Sorry, I have never made my own. Hopefully, someone else can give you some guidance on how to reduce it. Patti Orange Juice Concentrate In my BTVC book, Elaine has a recipe using orange juice concentrate. I know this was a mistake and that it's no longer legal. Am I correct? Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone knows how I can concentrate orange juice myself. I assume I can just boil it down, but for how long and by how much should I reduce the volume? If I'm mistaken and there is a legal concentrate, which one is it? Thanks, Sharon

Concentrating 2 cups of legal orange juice down to about 6 tbsp should be about the correct volumes to start and end with. I haven't tried this but think that a low to medium heat should be best to use to simmer the juice to reduce it. > If I'm > mistaken and there is a legal concentrate, which one is it? There are no legal frozen concentrates. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 22yrs mom of and
