Guest guest
Hi Patti, good to see you're still here carrying on the message. Thank you for the stages location. Actually this is the really bad thing...we have NOT been giving probiotics and therein I'm certain lies the problem. When I was active on the list before many of us were having problems with the acidophilus we had bought from one particular source...can't remember his name now...and I had to give up on that one. Then things got crazy and I got very sick and altho we have a PCA (personal care assistant) thru medwaiver who has kept up on making all the foods, everyone was just so overwhelmed that supplements were left by the wayside. I'm going to order the lactobacillus acidophilus from Kirkman today ( we've been subbing with Solaray carrot acidophilus temporarily which I know is not listed as legal). Has anyone had a bad experience with Kirkman's acidophilus? Think I am on the right track? It'll probably cost a fortune to get it to Florida still in a " live " condition :-). If anyone has any warnings or cautions about this one please email me directly as I am on digest..... gldcst@... The almond yogurt does indeed seem like a good source of calcium and I will attempt it soon but right now we are loading a number of new supplements so I need to tread carefully. It's so nice to see how many more products are now available and how many people have caught on to the benefits of the diet! Thanks again, Sherry <<Hi Sherry, You'll find the " stages " chart on the website, www.pecanbread.com , under " Food Preparation " ... just scroll down. There are nut yogurt recipes there on the website, too..... you probably already knew that. I've never made it myself, so can't comment on it's healing ability. Have you been giving an acidophilus/probiotic supplement all this time? I sure hope so... it's so essential to replace those bad gut bugs with good flora. I honestly think that the nut yogurt is pretty much just a delivery system for probiotics. It doesn't really have the same healing qualities of SCD goat milk yogurt, but it's certainly better than no yogurt at all. Almonds are a great source of calcium, too.... so that might be the preferred nut yogurt for you to use.Patti>>
