Guest guest
Hi iowahellewell - We mix up a little bit into a mixture of cooked pears and apples along with some honey and my son eats it up. Yum. How do you get your kids to eat the goat yogurt??? I just finished my first batch of yogurt and my son will not get near it. I'm sure it turned out right but it does not taste good. To be honest with you, it tastes like what I remember goats smelling like from my childhood. If I can't eat it how do I get him to? Any suggestions? Guest guest
You must have used Meyenburg milk. The one time I used that brand, my whole HOUSE smelled goaty. I can't stand it! I know you may not have a choice but I found a local farmer whole sold me fresh goat milk that was MUCH better, smelling and tasting. Dripping the yogurt may *help* take away some of the strong, goaty taste. You'll need to mix a very, very small amount (we recommend starting with only 1/8 of a teaspoon) into some other food (nothing hot... you'll kill the good bacteria) and then slowly increase the amount as he gets more used to the taste. Just don't tell him it's in there. Try a banana smoothie. I doubt he'd be able to tell it's there.... gotta be sneaky, though. Good luck... Patti How do you get your kids to eat the goat yogurt???
