Guest guest
PLEASE NOTE: The chewable calcium from Kirkman Labs is NOT SCD legal.... I know Tumpa listed the ingredients recently as the following: <<The calcium chewable has the following: Calcium carbonate, magnesium stearate (vegetable), stearic acid (vegetable>> .... but unfortunately, they also actually contain DEXTROSE and are therefore NOT legal.... so please stop using this product! Guest guest
I don't supplement calcium, b/c my daughter eats SCD yogurt, almonds, broccoli, kale, etc. I guess I would switch to the plain powder from Kirkman and mix it into food. .... although I personally have reservations now about supplementing calcium for kids with autism. I urge you go read up at 's new group on Vitamin K (vitaminK@yahoogroups) and read her research on the vital role of K... and some of her recent postings re: Vitamin D. Guest guest
what do others use for calcium and does it contain the right ratio of calcium to magnesium for optimal absorbtion? i have never ever found a chewable of any type of supplement that would be legal due to sweeteners added (sugar or artificial)... would it be best to say avoid chewable at all costs? roweena x mumma to audrey 3yrs multiple food intolerance and leaky gut Kirkman chewable calcium PLEASE NOTE: The chewable calcium from Kirkman Labs is NOT SCD legal.... Guest guest
I think the ratio is usually 2 parts calcium to 1 part magnesium... but it might depend on the individual's needs. I know many kids need much more mag than that. I think all chewables would be out for the same reason you just gave. I've never seen a legal one either.
