Guest guest
Debbie, I was a big water drinker pre-op and was concerned about this as well. I can drink water post-op pretty much the same as I did pre-op, with only one difference--during meals, I really limit how much I drink to small sips and only when I really need to (like with meat). This is because I used to drink about a quart of water with my meal, and obviously that is not all going to fit in my small pouch now! I drink as much water as I want between meals, and I'm happy that I don't need to sip, but can *drink* (don't confuse that with gulp, though!) In the first 2-3 weeks after surgery, I was extra careful about not getting too much water in the pouch all at one time, since it was healing. As for your patient info, please keep trying, maybe try doing it late at night when no one should be calling you?
