Okay you guys if you want to take over the whining I'll give it up to you.

I'll just whine at home for my husband...He's used to it anyway. Love as

Always, Sue M

No Sue, I think it will take 3-4 whiners to cover for me. Don't you dare

back out now.

I'm counting on you.

  • 1 year later...

It's not unusual to have that bluesy / whiney feeling around this time

of year. Not only do we experience stress from holiday preparations,

many of us suffer a bit from " SAD " -- Seasonal Affective Disorder --

because of the shorter days.

======================================================

I start my Christmas shopping in August or September and am usually done

and wrapped by Thanksgiving for the most part with a few stragglers left

to go. People always give me a hard time and say they hate me because my

Christmas shopping is done and I'm wrapped. I do this for a number of

reasons. First, financially, even with the money from the Christmas

club, its never enough, so if I shop early I could pay cash for most if

not all of the Christmas gifts. Second, by being done early, I can enjoy

my holidays with my kids. We go out a few times a week to look at all

the beautiful houses that are decorated and even fit in some kids movies

that are released around the holidays without having so much pressure

put on me. I look forward to the holidays and want to enjoy and

appreciate them. The rest of the year is filled with too much BS so I

like my Christmas and New Year's to be peaceful. Most of the time I

manage. Right now I'm cramming for finals. If I didn't even start my

Christmas shopping I'd be banging my head against a wall right now. Now

I'm just banging it on the floor because I'm studying for finals. LOL
