Guest guest
After the MOM I ate only soup and crackers and a little salad. It nearly killed me, but Dr R says it makes it easier on you during and immediately following surgery as far as nausea is concerned. It must have worked. I had absolutely no nausea. Well at least not until my hormones got out of whack about 3 weeks later! lol A hormone patch took care of that though. Lots of people eat a " last supper " the night before surgery, but it isn't advised by DR R. Guest guest
Terri, Just my two cents worth. Between the MOM - don't stray too far away from a bathroom - and my day before nerves, my stomach didn't really want to have a last minute splurge. The lighter you eat the easier the bowel will be for him to work on the next day. Guest guest
Hi Dinah... I think my " last supper " is going to be about 2 weeks before surgery (unless I can think of anything else I REALLY want)... I have been CRAVING a philly cheese steak and fried mushrooms with cheese over them for WELL over a year now.. But, driving over an hour just to go to the place that has the best ones is not a very easy task and every time I decided I wanted it, we didn't have gas money or something would pop up and we just didn't get to go.. So, On wednesday I will be doing the grocery shopping and will pick up the stuff to make it with!! So, I definately won't have to worry about that aspect of it... As I was telling another person who wrote me, the main thing I am worried about now is HOW BAD the MoM is... I mean, I had a colonoscopy done a few months ago and took that dang Fleet phosphosoda twice and I was absolutely MISERABLE!! I would have rather had the flu! It was so bad that when we moved, I left the glasses that I drank that stuff out of at the old place.. Everytime I even THINK about that stuff let alone look at those glasses, I literally start gagging... PLEASE tell me this stuff isn't that bad!!!! I have a very sensative stomach anyways and if my tongue/nose don't like it, it don't either!! Go figure.. I'm more worried about the pre-op PREP than the surgery itself! LOL In my thoughts and prayers, Terri PRE-OP! 10/25/00 BMI 55 " But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
