Guest guest
I am not sure about all of your supplements.... but ProBio Gold probiotics are ILLEGAL on SCD. They contain bifidus. You need to make sure all your supps are legal.... and then, YES, add them ONE at a time and watch him. If you add a whole bunch of stuff all at once, you'll have no idea what's doing what. Patti List of supplements that my son started taking 1 week ago my son was very lethargic today. the DAN nurse thought he may be coming down with a virus and that hyperactivity would be a more normal reaction. he went all day without eating anything except juice and fruit leather but we got him to do the sign for candy and it sounded like he said " andy " so maybe the aba therapy is starting to work. anyway, one week ago we started dig enzyme, probiotic gold, supernuthera, vit c, calc w/vitD, magnesium glycinate, selenium, magnesium sulfate cream, b12 shots. a couple days ago, i added melatonine and glutathione transdermal, molybedenum and chromium. i still haven't added zinc and artic cold liver oil yet. should i start all over and only do one supplement a week so i can see which one he is reacting too? kirkman's told me it is ok to do all the minerals at full strength if i want but i am more cautious with the others starting out at lower dosages and building up. should i try one new mineral every 3 days? Guest guest
Hmmm...that seems like a lot of supps to introduce all at one time. I might pull a few out, and then add them back in one at a time. You could certainly keep giving the B12...and I'm just curious why he isn't taking folinic acid with that. Our dan dr. has my son taking both because she said they go hand in hand. Maybe your son's folic acid levels weren't low like iel's were. Does your dan want him taking all of these supps, or were some of these your own idea? I'm not familiar with what all of these are either. Here is just my personal opinion. I'd drop them all out except probiotic, multivitamin, B12, and a fish oil...unless you are supposed to be taking something right along with the B12. Give that several days, and see if he seems to improve. If so, I'd add one in at a time...giving a couple of days between each to see what happens. If they're all scd legal, you wouldn't think that there would be a problem, but you just never know. Let us know what happens.
