Guest guest
Hi Ladies! Per several suggestions, I added the head pics of my ds ... they are under " Max " . To refresh, his facial asymmetry is 3 mm and axis length is 12 mm. After looking at the pics, do you still think banding is a good option? Thanks!! Guest guest
Hi-- Yes, I do think that banding is a good option for you as I look at Max's photos--by the way, what a cutie!!! So, I can see the facial asymatry, especially with his eyes. The shot from the top of his head with him laying down also shows the plagio quite a bit. That was exactly how my sons looked. You can see that on the left back corner it rounds out but on the right, you can see a diagnol angle where it is not rounded. Not sure if I am making sense, but I posted Merrick's before and after repo pictures in the M folder, so you can take a look there. The first photos were at three months and the second at four months, we got the band at 4.5 months and I am so glad that we moved forward with banding. We are seeing results, and he is already half way through treatment. H. Guest guest
, Do you know what is so frightening? I never even noticed the asymmetry between his eyes until you pointed it out and I've been staring at him for 5 months!! Do I have some serious denial or what?? > > > > Hi Ladies! > > > > Per several suggestions, I added the head pics of my ds ... they are > > under " Max " . Guest guest
I also think banding is a good option. It doesn't look severe, but still if you don't do it you will wonder " what if? " (at least if you're like me). -christine sydney, almost 3 yrs, starband grad > > Hi Ladies! > > Per several suggestions, I added the head pics of my ds ... they are > under " Max " . Guest guest
--boy do I know!! I have posted here before that my husband and I didn't see it!! It was the pediatrician that pointed it out, then CT had to explain it to us on the photos--and then--we felt just terrible. But we are so thankful that our pediatrician was proactive and saw what we didn't. I think to us he just looked like 'Merrick' and it wasn't our instinct to look for something that might be 'wrong.' Now I cannot believe that there was a time that we didn't notice the flatness and facial asymatry, especially now that I see the correction from him helmet and it is amazingly different (improved).
