Guest guest
happy happy to you to n. We are all thankful for you and each one who enters this cyber world. Tina W.,mother of Steph, 18yo wcf Thanksgiving First of all, I myself wanted to thank everyone on both these lists for putting up with all our " sharing " of knowledge, and babbling cheerfully, and tearfully at one another, and doing it with great good grace. I know, I forgot Canadian Thanksgiving this year, which in my case is really stupid! And Hal will think " Oh, there she goes, apologising again! " But the truth of it is that we are so fortunate despite our dealing with cf, that we have landed on this ship together, making this voyage together, and holding one another's hands and mopping the occasional tear or two collectively, and laughing, often at our selves to gether. And grieving collectively. And moaning at the state or non-state of medical care together. But we all know how our paths brought us together form near and afar. We are a giant clan, and would support one another no matter what came our way. And, besides that, we are entertaining in the midst of all this, even to the point of absolute hilarity as Agnes so marvelously demonstrated recently on conncoll, and as Rosemary so often does on cfparents. Why are we not on television? Well, we know why not, especially at holiday times! We are just too busy, if only with pulling our own bodies together! And I am thankful that Hal has attained the age that he as, Kathy hers, and I mine, and all the rest of you who have had the nerve to pass 32! But I am mostly thankful to all of you, many of whom are on both the above-mentioned lists. You are all a large part of why I feel thankful each day--though heaven knows how most of us will feel next Friday--those enzymes and proton-pump inhibitors are going to be more popular than ever! I hope that you all have a good Thursday, 11/27/03, whether it be a holiday in your country or no. Let us just be thankful for one another. Love to all at conncoll and at cfparents and to all who cope as we do with cystic fibrosis! Love to each of you, and thank you! n Rojas, who has NOT been drinking! Guest guest
To all my new friends (I hope it's ok to call you that!) I am so proud to be a part of this group. I don't participate as much as I'd like because I don't have tons of 1st hand knowledge about things since I'm just the " aunt " . But, I have been so overwhelmed by the love and support of this group of wonderful people that I thought I'd take this perfect opportunity to tell you how grateful and " thankful " I am. I think it's a terrific thing to be able to take a day and just reflect on the things we have to be thankful for. I know we all have lots to be angry or sad about, but I'd bet if we sat down and really gave it some thought we'd find so much more to be thankful for. I'm sure that that column would far outweigh the other one. At least, I hope so. Again, thank you all. YOU are something to be placed on the Thankful column. Wishing you and yours a very happy and HEALTHY Thanksgiving. Love to all, Jill
