I sometimes add more water and do a second straining. The second one

leaves you with a thinner milk but is still good. Whether you do a

second straining or not the residual nut bits should be thrown out.

Elaine wrote that since you remove all the good stuff (it's in the nut

milk) you have almost pure cellulose (in the nut bits) which will be

concentrated and can feed the harmful gut bugs.

Hi, Use them for a crust to a legal pie, or freeze them and use them to

stuff your thanksgiving bird.put them in your pancakes for extra crunch, or

use them in your yogurt for texture.

First, thanks to Carol for your response to my last post.

I've been making almond milk in the blender and straining it, and it's

delicious. What can I do with the leftover nut bits in the cheesecloth

afterwards? It seems like such a waste to throw them out.
